A Bit About Us

Bobby has lived in Volusia and Flagler counties his whole life. His father drove a wrecker in the 1950’s and 1960’s and he loved going with his dad in the wrecker on jobs from pulling cars out of the surf on Daytona Beach to working the early NASCAR races on the beach and at the Speedway. He quickly developed an obsession for all things auto! As soon as he was old enough he got a job in a garage. He’s been working on cars ever since. More than 40 years! 

By the 1980’s Bobby moved his family from Daytona Beach to Flagler County. He started a mobile service working on people’s cars at their homes. People thought it was really cool that he worked out of the trunk of his Red 1951 Buick Special. Bobby’s toolbox was his trunk! 

In 1998, he opened Bobby’s Coastal Auto Repair. With a convenient location just off US1 and four bays, it allows him to provide more services to his customers. In the same location ever since, Bobby extends the same personal service and attention to his customers as in the early days.
